Pistonlog

Workshop software built around the way garages actually work.

A founder-led SaaS product shaped with garage owners and mechanics, spanning research, identity, product design, full-stack development, testing and launch.

The context

Garage software had learned to do everything except feel simple.

Existing workshop systems could be complicated to learn, expensive to adopt and difficult for a whole team to use together. The opportunity was to keep the operational depth garages need while removing the friction that turns everyday work into specialist knowledge.

The response

Design from the workshop floor, then build the journey as one product.

Conversations with a garage owner, mechanics and reception staff turned real working practices into clear product priorities. Positioning, brand identity, interface design and development then moved together across customer and vehicle records, jobcards, workshop status, scheduling and the workflows around them.

The outcome

One connected system for the work around every vehicle.

Pistonlog now brings jobs, bookings, inspections, reminders, invoicing and reporting into a responsive product designed for owners, service advisors and technicians. Continued testing with working garages keeps the roadmap tied to useful outcomes instead of feature volume.
